STICKY RED BLOOD CELLS
Q - MY CHOLESTEROL IS LOW BUT
MY TRIGLYCERIDES ARE HIGH . . .
CAN THIS BE A PROBLEM FOR MY
HEALTH?
A - Elevated triglycerides are just as
dangerous as high cholesterol. Most
people do not understand the difference
between cholesterol and triglycerides. The
foods that cause the problem are entirely
different and even most physicians don’t
realize this. Also the physical damage
differs.
Q -WHAT KIND OF PHYSICAL
PROBLEMS OCCUR WHEN MY
TRIGLYCERIDES ARE ELEVATED IN
MY BLOOD CHEMISTRY?
A - Elevated triglycerides (over 100)
cause your red blood cells to stick together
in clumps and piles creating a dangerous
condition which could lead to heart
attacks, stroke, or even cancer.
Q - WHAT FOODS WILL CAUSE
TRIGLYCERIDES IN THE BLOOD?
A - Sweets are the main culprit. This
includes sugar, honey, desserts, fruit juice,
soft drinks, and even excess fruit.
Q - HOW DO TRIGLYCERIDES
CREATE THIS DANGEROUS
CONDITION?
A - Sweets, especially those with no
fiber, are absorbed too quickly which
causes a release of free fatty acids from the
adipose tissue flowing into the blood
stream.
Q - WHY ARE HIGH
TRIGLYCERIDES SO DANGEROUS?
A - Because the red blood cells carry
oxygen to every cell in the body; when
they are stuck together (called red blood
cell sludging) the heart and lungs are
deprived of oxygen. Because of this and
the clotting which occurs, you are
vulnerable to a heart attack or stroke.
Q - HOW DO ELEVATED
TRIGLYCERIDES MAKE ONE MORE
PRONE TO CANCER?
A - Because the red blood cells are
designed to enter the capillaries one by
one. When they are in clumps, they can’t
get into the capillaries so you loose miles
and miles of circulation. This means you’ll
have anoxia . . . Low levels of oxygen
which is fertile ground for cancer.
Q - ARE THERE OTHER FACTORS
THAT RAISE TRIGLYCERIDES
BESIDES SWEETS?
A - Yes there are. Stress, alcohol,
caffeine, artificial sweeteners,
hydrogenated oils, Trans fats will all raise
triglycerides.
Q - DOES EXERCISE HELP?
A- Absolutely! Aerobic exercise helps
“burn” triglycerides.
Q - ARE THERE SUPPLEMENTS
WHICH WILL LOWER
TRIGLYCERIDES?
A - Yes! After years of research I have
discovered the best results are achieved
with Gugu Lipo available at our office.
